Jade Marra

Jade Marra, the painter, has returned from an artistic residency she conducted in the south of France. This period offered her a valuable opportunity to deepen her research and explore new facets of her art.

Through this immersion, she was able to nourish her creativity and develop new techniques. She created works on both canvas and paper, with each medium providing her with a unique source of inspiration.

The landscapes and atmosphere of the south of France particularly influenced her creations, leading to a series of unique and original pieces imbued with this Mediterranean ambiance.

BEYOND THE WALLS

"Remembering Beautiful Things"

- Juliette Lemontey and Laura Pasquino

From May 18th to May 26th

The exhibition "Remembering Beautiful Things" with artists Juliette Lemontey and Laura Pasquino will take place at Château de Houtain-le-Val in Belgium.

The duo exhibition takes visitors on a poetic journey between Juliette's artworks and Laura's ceramics. It unfolds within the enchanting setting of a historic castle dating back to the 12th century. This place has witnessed the ups and downs of history, from the passions of the Duke of Brabant to the resilience of the women who have left their mark there.

Juliette Lemontey, a French painter, is known for her ability to capture life, the grace of movements, and the silences of faces. Her work on memory and identity resonates deeply with the history of Château de Houtain-Le-Val. This exhibition also marks her debut at the Grège Gallery in Belgium.

On the other hand, Laura Pasquino, a ceramist based in Amsterdam, explores life's contrasts, between softness and harshness. Through her ceramics, she plays with textures, raw strength, and the organic shapes of nature. The cracks and tears on her pieces become visual metaphors for human scars and wounds.

Antifer

Repossi

July 2023

Ten years after its inception, the Antifer collection has risen to the rank of an icon. Today, it’s one of the three pillars of the Repossi brand, along with Serti sur Vide and Berbere. The collection draws inspiration from contemporary art and architecture, anchored in the genes of the Repossi House. The design features minimalist and radical lines, sharp angles, enriched by a contrast of full and empty spaces to create absolute harmony. The pieces on display prove that beauty lies in simplicity.

To celebrate this anniversary, the Place Vendôme jeweler has entrusted gallery owner Amélie du Chalard with an exceptional artistic curation. “Antifer is something of a leaf, a drop, a mountain. In its multiplication, it becomes an artifact, a delicate mechanism. This jewel is revealed in its accumulation,” describes Amélie du Chalard. The gallery owner added: “The 6 artists - 3 women and 3 men - were chosen for the originality of their techniques and the richness of the materials used: paper, slate, textiles, bronze, ceramics and photography. This diversity offers extremely varied and relevant interpretations of this famous angle, which is neither completely pointed nor completely curved. As well as highlighting this angle, the works also pay homage to the rigor, minimalism and purity of Antifer”.

Anne de Vergeron, CEO of Repossi : “Repossi is celebrating the bold union of art and jewelry by teaming up with Amelie Maison d’art, renowned for its artistic plurality ranging from sculpture to painting and photography. In this collaboration, talented artists have drawn inspiration from our Antifer collection, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, turning the traditional creative metronome on its head.

The jewelry becomes a source of inspiration for these artists. This collaboration gives rise to works that transcend the boundaries of art and jewelry, offering a new perspective on the artistic dimension of Antifer.” The gallery owner has invited 6 artists to produce 5 original pieces that resonate with Antifer. Florence Grundeler, French but steeped in Chinese language and culture, is well versed in the interplay of full and empty, and is interested in the  line and the importance of the layout. Victoire d’Harcourt’s sculptures play with the tangle of geometric figures, like links in a jewel whose ovals and circles are punctuated here and there by angles. Photographer François Kenesi also draws in his pictures, often exploring the geometry of the architecture that inspires the Repossi House. Michel Kirsch, a Parisian sculptor, works with slate, revealing its mysteries, in which the light lodges and reveals the silences and breaths of its mineral folds. Marine Vu sculpts paper to explore its reliefs, voids and fills, like Antifer.

Last but not least, Repossi shares Italy with ceramist Guido de Zan, as well as a taste for play and discrepancy. One piece by each artist will be selected for Repossi’s personal collections, while all the other works will be exhibited at Amelie, Maison d’art as of July 7, 2023.
