The color painted by Pascal Fancony is not there to be beautiful (or ugly) as the visible world but to provoke a series of questions about the conditions of its genesis. He produces, through a material realization, another reality. This realism of painting is apprehended beyond the surface and physico-chemical data, in a subjective distance, favored by a stop of time during the moment of the gaze in front of the work.
