In her serie "The Other Utopia II", Julie Wolfe established a narrative that speaks to the concept of our unfulfilled desire to create a perfect society and ecological world. The found images are simply exaggerated visuals used as a backdrop for painted shapes that suggest some sort of intrusion or obstruction into the natural world altering patterns of existence. In reality it is the distorted memories, abandoned spaces and fragments from the past, present and future and their coexistence that inform my study of a social consciousness in transition between place and non-place.
Sold as one series. Single prints of any print can be ordered : 1050€.
