Self-taught artist, Jean-Philippe Lagouarde designed and built a studio in his Paris apartment. A volume of three meters by two open on the outside. Installed in this structure that he thought of as a work in its own right. He evolves in this small space to create works related to the contiguity.
"I know what I do but I do not know what I produce. My creative process is based on uncertainty and its field of freedom. I give an intention then things create an interaction independently of me. I renounce the formal aspect of the work. Between conception and absence of control I am interested in the notion of discovery. This path thus shows a dynamic structure free of gestures. This autonomous composition will then continue to evolve with external factors, such as points of view, light and its variations of intensity. "
